I went to LA Fitness to try and help my body alleivste some back pain with stretching and gettind advice for the appropiate work out? A representative talk to me., signed me up for a one year trainer and I don't speak english very well but when I explained I don't want to pay this every month I was told to cancel would be over a thousand dollars? Wow who does this to people? How unethical! I'm very disturbed about LA fitness on 13 mile rd and Mound in Warren Michigan? WOrse of all it seems nobody really care since I signed and didn't read the print for myself. Very sad where is the salespeople dignity?

William Hernandez who is a sales manager at the LA Fitness in Trumbull CT is a scam artist and a thief who asked for cash money in order to take half and put it in his pocket. Do NOT work with this *** or LA Fitness. I paid in cash after seeing that they continued illegally charging cards on file and I was still taken advantage of. This *** is a snake like all of the sales managers there.

La Fitness review in North Miami, Florida: Very unprofessional

My experience with LA Fitness in Denton was not good. First, I researched the 5 day passes to try out the gym. The pass clearly says you mist be 18 or older or be 14 or older with an adult present. We qualified, so I got the passes and we both went Saturday afternoon. Thought it would be a quick talk about the facility, tour, presentation of membership opportunities, and then work out for free for 5 days, you know, as a try before you buy type deal. After 2 hours (no exaggeration), of waiting, then filling out assessment paperwork, and taking a tour, we went back to activate our passes. Our salesman was new and waited for a senior salesman for assistance. He came over and started repeating the prices for memberships and repeating qurstions that had been answered previously. When I told them I wasnt ready to buy yet, and just wanted to try my free pass, he said "oh i'm sorry, you can work out but your daughter cannot." (This is even AFTER the assessment where we were told she was over 14 so she can workout, 13 and under was a no go). I was told I had to become a member first before my daughter could use her free pass. I thought I might have misread the disclaimer, so I pulled it up and read it to them, it clearly states to activate the pasd you must prove you are 18 or older OR be 14 or older with parental guardian. I was told this was a misprint and that he would call corporate to get it fixed from the LA Fitness website. He said the liability waiver was only good if I were a member first. Passes were never activated, wr did not get to wprk out even after 2 hours of being in that facility. We left and we have no intention of going back to LA Fitness in Denton.

La Fitness review: John/Ron is the biggest ***

At the Lake Worth FL facility John/Ron whatever he decides to call himself that day is by the far the worst manager/salesperson there has ever been. He looks and acts like a broke white thug and harasses people till they tell him they joined with someone else or stop coming and block his number. He is a pathological liar and a ***. I wouldn't join under him if he gave me a membership for $5 a year.

The gym rarely opens on time during the week and it's even worse on the weekends. On 07-16-17 the gym opened 15 minutes late and when I finished my workout I approached a salesperson named Mike who was very friendly. He advised he had only been working there 3 days and didn't know there was an ongoing issue nor did he know why the front desk person failed to show today, but promised me he would let his superiors know. Then I saw a Personal Trainer standing at the front desk that I recognized as working there for several years and told him of the troubles with the gym opening on time and he was also very receptive and promised to let the General Manager know about the issue. While explaining to him that the gym rarely opens on time during the week an employee also sitting at the front desk said to me the gym always opens on time during the week and that the front desk person arrives at 4:55 or 4:58 the latest. I explained to him that the gym opens at 5am and that isn't early enough to open the gym on time and that he should probably arrive no later than 4:45 am if the gym opens at 5am. He then made a face and shook his head in what appeared to me to be in disgust. I asked him what that was about and he replied I just don't like listening to silly complaints. I was infuriated and told him that wasn't very professional and not great customer service. He then told me that is why he is a janitor and not a front desk person. I explained to him that all employees at LA Fitness are in the customer service business and that his conduct is extremely unprofessional. I am very disappointed with LA Fitness and do my best to work out out at the surrounding gyms like, Gold's Gym in Shrewsbury and 24 hr. Fitness.

If there was a lower rating I would have used it!! I've held a membership with health clubs since 1985 from Chicago health club, Chicago Ballys then Ballys fitness. Through all of our years we have had this membership these companies have been great almost like family, with helpful and supportive management, knowledgeable and motivational trainers, excellent equipment and facilities. Until La Fitness bought our clubs and our memberships where transferred. I can now say without a doubt this facility and company is the worst run club out there! They have no care or respect for the members, your a $ renewable commission entity $. The management is aggressive and disrespectful. The employees are worse even to the point of threatening and accosting members. They have yelled and screamed at potential customers to get the he*& out if they are not going to signup on multiple occasions. The training manager even violently screaming at a younger member to go outside and fight. This is crazy and just amazing to me to see the difference from a great supportive company to this disaster and poorly run Turd! Because of our platinum membership to Ballys we only pay $54 a year to use la fitness. To us its not even worth that! Its a worthless piece of paper where youre a $ not a person, and we will never return to the club again. Find anywhere to go but here! Unless you like being talked to like sh&$, degraded and disrespected, then you will fit right in!

I went into the club to cancel my membership and the next day they took my money out of my account. So I called to get a refund they would not refund my money. they gave some reason as to why. I will never do business with them again. If they want to make things right they should refund my money I have not used the gym since November they said well your membership is good until August I paid the first and last membership fees when I joined. I hate LA Fitness now I was glad to be a member until they stole my money. Social media is going to be awesome. 24 Hour Fitness here I come.

DO NOT SIGN UP FOR PERSONAL TRAINING AT THIS LOCATION!!! If I could give it 0 star for customer service/personal trainer, I would. This gym is probably one of the worse I've attended so far. Looking at other reviews, it seems no one is really taking the time to improve either. Personal training??? Don't even bother!!! One review said it best, they are all like used car salesmen trying to get you to sign a contract and then it's whatever. Once you sign, they don't care about the customer. They are still going to charge you for your contract. You will hear 100 excuses before you hear 1 resolution. I signed up to have training for my son and I but we just couldn't get a trainer assigned. We tried calling, no call back. They signed us up with ex-employees. They would schedule one session but not the second. They work their schedules around their own time and not the customer's. One time, they told us the trainer was not in, however, the guy (Personal Training "Manager") was sitting in their area, looked straight at us then went on to work out himself. Funny thing, he was the person who scheduled us to train with him and he was the one who just looked at us and completely ignored us. When I called to complain, the General "Manager" was even worse. He did not let me finish my complaint, talked over me and even told me HE had heard enough. Normally, customer service oriented people would allow the PAYING CUSTOMER to finish then offer an explanation AND a rectification. This "General Manager" did not offer either. All he provided was excuses after excuses. Yet, he told me he did not need any customer service training as he has been doing this his "whole life?" Really??!! I think NOT. The worse part, as I am talking to this "General Manager" he puts me on loudspeaker so that everyone could hear our conversation. Professional?? Manager??? I think NOT. You have a question? They tell you to go to the website. You ask to speak to someone? They send you to someone else who doesn't have the answer either. To their Corporate Offices, I would suggest Customer Service Training for all your employees and to hire people who would actually take the title "Manager" seriously and not just someone who got promoted just because without any form of education or Manager training. Thankfully, I have a legit reason to cancel without further penalties and I did just that!!!

why in liberal New Jersey does la fitness in Cherry Hill insist on putting fox news on their screens? I've been told several different stories from the staff: someone requested it, it was a corporate decision, it was a mistake and someone would change it. If it was somebody's request, then i'm requesting MSNBC. I did send an email to corporate and received no response, requesting something benign, like ABC, NBC, or public television. We will soon be changing to a club, that is receptive to the wants of its members. Health clubs are prolific and I've been to ones that are cleaner, cheaper and that are not trying to shove right wing propaganda down my throat.

La Fitness review: Member for approx 10 yrs because of convenience, stinky, nasty, no upgrades to fix the problems

The newer LA Fitness clubs in town have tile floors in the locker rooms, tile in the high traffic areas, much better air filtration and circulation and better connections/signals for headphones, etc. They are much cleaner, do not smell bad, are up to date, the toilet fixtures are clean and modern. Exactly the opposite is true of the Alpharetta branch. Even the water fountains barely shoot up high enough to get a drink without kissing everyone that ever drank from them and that is a very easy adjustment. I am told that it is a family owned business and that the family is tight with the buck and milking the profits. I am shocked that the health department allows such an establishment to operate. If it weren't so convenient for me to use, I would go elsewhere. Any request to upgrade or clean is met with an excuse that they can't get approval.
