La Fitness in Lawrenceville, Georgia - Dont sign for any personal training - DO NOT SIGNNNNNNNN

1.0
Details
LA FITNESS LIED AND PLAYED FRAUD when they told us they will charge us $ 440 for 2 months. The personnel trainer who signed us into this fraud deal, charging us $ 240 every month and now they say they will charge us for 1 yr, when I went to LA fitness to inquire about this , the personnel trainer was moved to other location and they refused to give us any information, they sent us a copy of contract which was BLANK, again it was BLANK and they are charging us ridiculous amount of money , saying who signed this contract. We called the corporate and they say we will have to pay 50 % of balance as they can not do anything. They will not return any phone call, they will charge you money that is yours, and this turned out to be the worst experience ever. If anyone reading this, again - do not sign anything with LA fitness, in fact do not even waste your time with this company

La Fitness in Bowie, Maryland - NO online access to my account

3.3
Details
This is the most foolish Corporate and Corporate customer service complaint of all time. I am a current LA Fitness member, my local clubs are excellent, however, 18 moths ago I start attempting to setup my online access and it appears to have some bad info in my online acct therefore I can't login. I have now called for assistance over 15 times and written a letter which they will not accept, re-mailed again to the corp office and they still refused to accept it. I am at my end of what is a little CS issue that should take one minute to fix and it I was not happy with the local gyms I would left over this lack of professionalism. Fix my online access member number f1242257

Very poor customer service. Nice clean gym.

Everyone with the exception of Richard have no business being employed over there. It's like pulling teeth just to get someone to stand up or get off there phone to assist me with account info or classes.

LA Fitness Sales Managers lie to bait you into membership

I was going to join my sister's LA Fitness plan but the manager offered me a "great deal" on a more expensive plan that would allow me open access to all clubs. I went for his upsell since I frequently travel. Turns out it was a complete sham and I paid more than I needed to since it turns out I only have access to one club. The LA Fitness corporate office offered to help me out if I hand them over another $140.00 up front. I guess they bank on people being idiots since they knew about this issue going on. This is a terrible club with terrible management. I will start jogging on the freeway before I loose any more money to this rip off corporation.

LA Fitness makes it very difficult, or for them - hopefully impossible, for you to cancel. You can't call in to cancel. You can't cancel in person. You have to send in some little piece of paper in the mail to some address. And you have to put your own stamp on it. And...

LA FITNESS IS AN UNETHICAL COMPANY

LA FITNESS - LONG BEACH II, CALIFORNIA I was robbed $2,019.00, right under my nose. I was lured into signing up for LA Fitness Pro Results Personal Training sessions. I was told I was scheduling an appointment for a "fitness evaluation", which I believed to be part of my new gym membership. Turns out it was a disgusting sales tactic to have me sign up for personal training sessions. I was told that if I was not satisfied with my first training session I could cancel at any time and get my money back. The staff member reviewed information with me, including my weight and height, and then asked me to sign/initial an electronic signature pad. Unbeknownst to me, I was signing a 12 month contract, totaling $2,019.00!!! I immediately called the person in charge of the personal training program and left him a message. He called me back after a few hours and I told him I wanted to cancel. I asked him if I could deliver the cancellation notice to him and he said there was no need, that he would take care of the cancellation. It has been six months and $160.00 are still faithfully being withdrawn from my bank account for services I have not received. When I first called the gym to clarify the matter, I was told that if I wanted to cancel I would have to pay half of the total contract amount. Of course, I refused to pay! I have made phone calls to the corporate office and have sent letters. No response. My next step is the Better Business Bureau and Consumer Reports. I will be contacting TV stations and newspapers, as well as posting warnings on social media. The Mayor of Long Beach is a personal friend of mine and I will be contacting him to make him aware that LA Fitness is a corporate thief and a bully. I was told by an attorney that there is enough evidence of fraudulent business practices that he is seriously contemplating filing a class action suit. Can you imagine how many people would be involved in hopes of getting their money back?!!! Thousands if not millions of dollars would have to be reimbursed and LA Fitness would lose all credibility!!! For now, I let everyone know that LA Fitness is an unethical company and not to do business with them. AND WHATEVER YOU DO, DON’T SIGN OR INITIAL ON AN ELECTRONIC SIGNATURE PAD. THEY WILL USE YOUR ELECTRONIC SIGNATURE ON WHATEVER CONTRACT AND STEAL YOUR MONEY FROM RIGHT UNDER YOUR NOSE!

Your account was on freeze. A monthly freeze only charges your account 10 dollars every month.

When the manager said you could come in at any time. He or she meant to unfreeze the account. At which point you come in the account becomes unfrozen and you are now responsible for your original monthly dues.

The young lady at the front desk was probably just confused because she was unaware that you misunderstood what the manager said to you in the beginning. As for you, if you spoke to her in the broken English like you did in this complaint I can understand why she was looking at you confused as you spoke

La Fitness Personal Training Review

Details
I signed up for PT training sessions after being told this would be a MONTH TO MONTH and 0 dollar cancellation fee. Now that I want to cancel I am required to pay 50% of a years worth of sessions! I was lied to when signing up and pressured into it in the first place. This is very unprofessional and wrong. Does anyone know how I can get out of this for free? Any personal testimonials?

La Fitness in King County, Washington - Membership not informed as contract when we enrolled

I enrolled my wife for a personal training session, they never informed us that this was a 1 year contract that they are making us sign up for and made us sign the multiple documentation. Now that I wanted to cancel the membership after 4 months then they are informing us that it was a years contract and we need to pay 1700$ to cancel the membership. This is LA fitness Bellevue WA, this is unethical business practice that they are following and contract is a key term that they should mention when a person is enrolling and specifically they hurry you up to fill the contract without having you read through them properly for the same case. Beware of these guys!! read the contract before you commit anything there.

The same thing happen to me! They are very deceiving.

Try to get a doctors note with any excuse that she cannot workout for 6 months or more! This is a very annoying process but that might work.
