La Fitness in Muskegon, Michigan - Christmas gift gone bad

So I went in to my club that i was member at since 98, sat and talked to the manager about a Xmas present for my son. I prepaid a 4 month visit for him with the strict understanding it was an open and closed deal with no strings attached. Turns out they kept charging my account a year and a half later.....when I addressed corporate offices on it they only offered a 90 day refund... I not only made sure they closed his account { which he is on record of using only those four pre bought months] I cancelled mine as well. Way to treat people LA ,and Good Bye!!!

La Fitness in Indianapolis, Indiana - Deceptive contracting for personal training

I joined LA Fitness on 38th Street in Indianapolis after explaining that I am working on a project in the area for an unspecified amount of time. The very competent membership sales rep did not oversell me and was excellent in qualifying and selling to me. The experience with the training sales rep was another story. I was deceptively sold a training package that has a 1 year term which I tried to cancel 5 weeks before leaving, as I was unaware of this given our detailed discussion of where I live as the deceptive print out of my membership contract in the front to appear it was able to be cancelled. Though the team member was employed for 1 week at the time of the sale, multiple calls to the corporate HQ, Club GM and Operations manager resulted in the company's refusal to release me from the contract terms. I was also later told of an option to pay as you go for a slightly higher session rate, which was never disclosed when this out of state resident was sold this deceptive package (with a $260 "set up" fee). I see no other choice but to contact my attorney.

La Fitness in London, Ontario - Customer service

The manager at the huron highbury in london,ontario is very rude. She dont even know how to talk with customers. I was having an issue of overcharging me, which I took it to her but she was like we cant help you, and you should talk at your bank about it.She talks in such a way which makes customers feels insulting and dont feel like talking with such person more. She is worthless and that's why I will never recommend any of my friends or family to join it and those who have join, I will tell themto leave it as soon as possible. I am also going to leave this place and will go for some other good place.

Not only this,

the customer service is disgusting at this location. Today I went in and tried to get a guest pass for a friend.

My friend is actively looking for a gym and is considering LA.

I have been a member with LA fitness for 3 years.

The person (I think his name is Jeffery) said either pay 15$ or sign up now.

This is bull ***! After being a member for 3 years, aren't I entitled to one guest pass for a potential member? I left and went to the LA Fitness at Warden and Eglinton.

The guest services is 100% better at this location. THey helped my friend.

She actually joined. Glad a good sales rep made commission rather than a rude arrogant unhelpful douchbag!

La Fitness in Saint Paul, Minnesota - Got walked out by worker at closing time.

I was there on Sunday 04/05/2015. I knew the gym closed at 5pm because I called the gym that is how they answered the phone. I was playing basketball and the guy came in and said they closing. One of my friends asked why they're closing as a joke, when the worker replied because so move. My friend got annoyed and said he will take his time, the worker said no you won't and insisted on following us to the locker room and everywhere we went and walked us out while there was about 10 people left in gym. He even talked to us outside insulting my friend calling him a *** and telling him he was going to whoop his ***. This is the LA Fitness in Brooklyn park, Minnesota.

La Fitness - Sanitary conditions at Noblesville

I agree that the bathrooms are atrocious. I too have seen the mold and half the time there is no soap in the bathroom sinks. That is disgusting! I have a PT contract and membership that I want out of but understand that it is impossible to do. A person should not have to jump through hoops if they no longer want to continue with a PT. Has anyone gotten out of one of these contracts without jumping through a million hoops? How can they hold you to paying for something you no longer want. What is the recourse for getting out?
