This has just happened to me!!! I've been trying to cancel my membership for a while, but ONLY the manager can do it.

Well, the manager NEVER seems to be there. So how the *** do I cancel this thing? By the time send in the form they will bill me again.

This is really unfair business practices that this *** manager always has an excuse for why he isn't there. This is ridiculous.

La Fitness - Membership cards

I have been a member for over 8 years now and recently I found out I could use my smart phone to access my membership bar code for scanning upon entry. One day I used it and everything went fine. The next time I went in I didn't have my phone so I used the bar code on my LA key fob I have used for years. I was informed I can only use one or the other for security reasons. Security reasons? Your picture comes up whenever you check in so how is anyone scamming the system if they use one or the other keys to get in? Then I was told the software won't allow it. Please stop with the lame excuses and get your system updated or fixed so your members can use either ID for entry.

La Fitness in Dallas, Texas - Lied about Freeze fees

We had a huge credit ($300) and I went in to cancel. The woman there told me that it was a FLAT $10 to put our account on freeze. I came in two years later to finally cancel as we weren't going to be able to get there anymore and they had been deducting $10 a MONTH. They admitted they had the wrong email address and never sent out a paper invoice. When I called corporate, the guy said sorry but they weren't going to refund our money even though he admitted they had the wrong email address. I guess your corporate reputation is worth $200. I even asked him if he thought $200 was worth his company's reputation (to someone who was a good, honest paying member). I guess I shouldn't be surprised that there are almost a 1000 bad reviews here.

We paid ahead for our personal training sessions, for almost a year, I had suffered medical problems and didn't use them. When I called customer service they said the sessions expire in 30 days. How can I be told that I can't use them until I pay for them a month ahead of time, but lost them if not used. This is ridiculous! I lost $3000 to this company, paying for services that were never rendered. The customer service guy was rude and insulted me over the phone as well. They are rude, take advantage of people, and are a huge rip off.

Try to anticipate the next time it happens and each time thereafter.

Turn your iPhone on to video. It will capture the audio and if properly positioned the video.

Take it to a lawyer and pursue it from there, including the Sheriff if necessary.

This is likely called sexual harassment.

I went to cancel within my 3 days as their contract states for personal training, the Manager Jessie was very rude, told me he was taking it personal because I said I found a friend willing to work out with me! He kept saying how I wouldn't reach my goal!! I have a lot to say about my experience at the Maplewood MN site. Bottom line, DON'T SIGN UP FOR THEIR PERSONAL TRAINING!! You can do it without one! Too expensive! And u really only need to work with someone for about 6 weeks, not a year!! DON'T DO IT!

LaFitness Trumbull CT after 2 years of membership with my medical alert service dog told me we are not welcome because another member reported to manager I abuse my dog. There was no investigation or review.

LaFithess does not welcome service animals.

One member doesn't like dogs so action was taken. And I'm not being given the opportunity to meet the accuser.

This gym is clean, new and meant for working out. She may have been wrong in the way she handled the situation, but you can't be bringing an animal into a place where hygiene is already a big concern.

If this is the manager's first job for you then fire her and move an experience person into this position. If she has been a manager for you previously then send her to one of your running facilities, not a new one. She does not have the skills necessary.
