La Fitness in Orlando, Florida - Unwillingness to work with me...

In short, my financial situation changed and I was in need of cutting costs. So I emailed them to see if I could postpone my training membership until my situation improved, they said NO. Then I asked if the training sessions I already paid for could be credited to my account so that the 50% I needed to pay could be reduced, they again said No. I emailed them to let them know that the cancellation form was in the mail with a check for the 50%. The next day they billed me for the month when the payments usually don't come out until later in the month. I called to inquire why I was billed they guy told me that they bill every 28 days, which isn't what it shows on my bank account but whatever. He then fed me some BS about how since it is a contract based service they are restricted in what they can and cannot do and since the contract says it there's nothing he can do. I called him out on it and said I understand contracts, I worked at a law firm that on several occasions the firm cut contracted fees and costs to make sure the customer was happy. He did't respond to that, my guess is because he knows that they can do something, they are just greedy and choose to be heartless and do nothing.

La Fitness in San Diego, California - Staff member was extremely Rude,

I joined the LA Fitness center on Sweetwater RD in National City,Ca yesterday. I went there the next day and I didn't understand how their locker policy was so I asked the staff member (Michael Bartock) what was their policy. He replied that he didn't understand what I was saying and kept asking me I don't understand. He was extremely rude and refused to apologize to me. English is not my first language but I do know what rude is. He completely embarrassed me and was rude. Very poor service from him. My experience was really negative and I just want people to know that some of the staff members there are rude.

If English isn't your first language I'm going to assume you have an accent. Maybe he really didn't understand what you were saying. In which case he wasn't being rude and there was no apology necessary.

La Fitness Membership Review

The problem with LA fitness on 82nd, is the rude, inpatient workers. They do not greet you, they sit around and gossip about the customers, and do not honor their word. They have free two week passes online but when you bring them in they give you 1-3 days and didn't even want to allow that. I was considering getting a membership here since it's nearby, but I'd rather take my money elsewhere and spend it on a gym with friendly HELPFUL staff. They really need to improve their attitudes and customer service skills.

La Fitness in Houston, Texas - Rude staff, filthy place

This one is 9025 Hwy 6 S. Houston, TX. Went to workout around 4 and found it wasn't busy yet. Good. Wash my hands and saw no paper towels. Oh, well, it happens often here. Went upstairs and found all elliptical machine filthy. Okay, I will just clean one and use it. Looked for paper towels and found dispenser empty again. Went downstairs and told a guy half lying in his chair texting that dispenser are empty. He said I should let Courteny know. Suddenly I lost interest in excercise there so I picked up my stuff to leave. Then I saw the guy now more comfortably reclined with his two feet on the wall still texting. I asked what his name was. Without answering me, he jumped up and proceeded to Courtney who must have been slacking off on her job. I asked his name twice more and found that his name was Sergio and he is one of the managers there. Imagine that! Their saunas are so filthy and stinky that I no longer venture in to find out if there has been any cleaning done. One time when I voiced my concern about the sanitation in that club, an employee told me they are so busy and is so profitable as is that the head office will not do any improvement. Wow.

La Fitness - Personal Training Review from Bellevue, Washington

So. I signed up for personal training, did it for one year because they said I could lower it to 6months. Since I wasnt going, I decided to cancel. After speaking to David Gallager in Coorporate he said that If I paid the 280$(which is my monthly fee) he would cancel my charge .. send me a confirmation email of my cancellation. I confirmed ... " So if I send you the 280$ you will cancel and I wont have to pay anything else with you guys? Not even what it says on the contract about the 50% .. he said no, 280$ and it will be cancel. So I did. To my surprise on the 31st I get charge again 280$. I call David Gallager again and he doesnt recall saying that to me. I ask to speak to a manager he transfrrs the call to a Dan .. I explain.. he says that if I want to cancel I need to follow the contract.. I tell him it'S NOT ABOUT THE CONTRACT Anymore, that he had lie to me, that I wanted to speak to someone who can listen to recorded calls, he tells me " he cant listen to calls".. I then ask for someone higher he says" no one available"... I ask for his full name .. he says "Dan" .. I ask for last name .. he says" he doesnt feel confortable giving out that info"..... what the heck????... he tells me the cancellation contract says what I need to do to cancel... I tell him I know what the contract says but I also know what this "david gallager " told me the day he collected my money. And how he lied to me saying he would cancel my contract.... So, its not about the contract anymore, is about he lying to me and the way they hide which makes me very frustrated and I cant believe such a big company handles business that way. So, now I'm stuck paying 280$ for a year(because they can change it to 6 months) on top of that, the tons of calls you get to collect your money and dealing with dishonest people. So thats it, I was lied to, asked for someone to please listen to the recordings but no one can help me. I'm the *** pissed of customer who they make fun of. Completaly dissatisfied with how they explained and have handle the whole thing just to collect the money.. I might have to just cancel my card .

Customer Service Review

Trainer never showed up no one apologized to me, they were always on there cell phones customer service here is the worst!!!! This all happened at the Aramingo location in Philadelphia Pa. I've been at the Cherry Hill NJ one for two months and they are better , helping me reach my weight lost goals.

La Fitness in Fort Worth, Texas - Discrimination

I Went to la fitness at Arlington to try out the gym it was my first time and thought it was free if I try it out. Anthony the rep said no I have to pay $15.00. I told him when I was in Los Angeles there was no questions asked. He replied well then that girl is not doing her job. I didn't say a word and left. I printed a coupon day pass at Office Depot so I could save money then try out another location in Eueless. I presented my coupon costs me $3.51, the front desk asked for my ID. I showed him my California ID and said no I cannot accept that. He stated that it has to be Texas ID. It told him I recently moved and will soon get it change he said NO. I left and felt being discriminated after I wasted 3 hrs driving and wanted to exercise. My Labor Day is ruined by these people who thinks they are doing their job well. To la fitness management where is your customer service? I really feel discrimated my these people. I'm Asian and never felt discrimated after this incident.
