You know I think it's so funny how people complain about that. Life is so unfair that your friend got asked to stop training you. Don't you realize that is taking someone's job away?!

I joined LA Fitness in White Marsh, MD (where Bally's used to be), because I wanted to get in shape and be healthier, but I didn't trust myself to go it alone (I was afraid I might hurt myself) so I got a personal trainer. I wanted to see the trainer 3 times/week for...

Reading is FUNDAMENTAL. Try it next time and you will know what is in the contract next time. Hopefully the contract doesn't say you have to jump off a cliff?

La Fitness in Ventura, California - Awful staff, corporate office is far beyond any help!

I had been a member at la fitness Ventura for 4 years. I froze my Membership the last 9 months because I work two jobs and was Too hard to make it to the gym between it all. So when I decided to go back I found out they had Cancelled my membership without notifying Me. I tried to speak to the corporate office but the guy I talked To was extremely rude and refused to let me talk to the supervisor.so when I go in to the gym to finally work out the sales man tells me he couldn't let me work out for free as a guest because I was already a member before. But yet if I wanted To sign up again id have to pay another initiation fee lol when it wasn't my fault to begin with that my membership was cancelled. The sales men only care about making their money. His body language and attitude said it all .. The I don't give a *** attitude.

I thought you had to be 16 to work and have a membership. The reason I believe that you are under 16 is because you mistook not having them bend over backwards and give you special treatment as rude.

Telling you no is not the same being rude. This is why I believe you are six years old. Only a six year old would believe that someone is rude if they do not let her get her way. Why should they let you work out for free.

You have two jobs you have more than enough money to pay for your membership. Nobody was rude to you, this is probably the first time someone did not give in to your little temper tantrum and it shocked you.

Hello: First things first, LA Fitness in Richfield, Minnesota is a great gym to work out at. However, UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES should anyone ever buy a personal training contract from them if it is under the terms I signed up for one with. They're also nearly imposslble...

I had similar experience at LA Fitness in Carrollton, TX. The claims made are

1.

Cancel any time - not true

2. Just let us know to cancel and we will refund unused sessions. Not true.

They have created a deceptive practice where enrollments are online and automated, but cancellations need to be mailed in to a mailbox that is untrackable.

Also, the training providers are independent contractors and not LA Fitness employees.

So there is no LA Fitness email, or extensions to talk with them. Whenever you have to cancel they are not available.

La Fitness in Brandon, Florida - Numerous harrassing phone calls, and I have NEVER had a membership before.

I had to change my number a few months ago. Ever since then, without fail, LA Fitness calls over and over again. I have asked them every single time to remove my number because I am not the person they are looking for. I got 3 calls today alone and it is only 12:30 pm. This is getting ridiculous and I don't know what to do anymore. I refuse to change my number again, so what is left? I tried contacting a corporate person but it takes me through a big circle. I want this to stop now. This is a serious violation of my rights to privacy. Ugh!

LA Fitness Did Not Cancel Membership

I sent in my cancellation by mail (as that is the way they told me I had to cancel) more than a year ago, but they continued to charge for the past 18 months. I sent in the cancellation but it did not go through. Now they are not being helpful and are not believing me that the cancellation was sent in. This is very frustrating and I will for sure will not return to LA fitness. Being charged for services I never even used for 18 months is just ridiculous. I never received a email confirmation of cancellation of course, but I did not even realize that they were supposed to send this.

La Fitness in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania - Unsafe whirlpool

Was in the whirlpool in wyomissing pa with two other people. Water smelled like ammonia. When the male patron got up he was red and itchy. The other girl and I stood up and we were itchy too. Washed off but I had two chemical burns on my arm. The 3 of us washed off but were itchy and I had 2 chemical burns in my arm. The horrible manager, Julie m said she would call later that day to see his we were. She finally called the following day at 130 and told me that someone took the caution tape off. She really doesn't care about me it the other two people involved. She should have informed the staff to put up caution tape again.. She had the nerve to tell us that the chemicals were okay. Went today 1/1/14 and the whirlpool not working and no caution tape. Julie is useless manager When I questioned her about the tape she said the chemicals were fine and no need for caution tape. Anyone else have a bad experience at the wyomissing pa la fitness. If it wouldn't be for the aquatics instructor, kris I would never go there

La Fitness in Houston, Texas - Cancellation Policy

I wrote a letter to LA Fitness in May of 2013 cancelling my membership. They continued to bill my credit card. In November I wrote another letter and CC'd the Better Business Bureau and the States Attorneys General. Surprise, they cancelled my membership; but they bill my credit card 3 additional months and two separate billings for "fees". Strange, the membership hasn't been used for over a year. These guys want your credit card, they don't want you. They will delay and deny any request for cancellation. I have been a member at many other clubs they have treated me well. Get your exercise by running from La Fitness. It will save you a heart attach.

Never give your credit card info for automatic payment. Tell the business you have no credit cards, you don't believe in them, you will pay by chack or cash every month.

If they insist on a card ask them 'Is my money not good here?' If they still insist on a card then get up and walk out. :)
