I was lied to by the front desk as well. I called in to freeze two memberships for a couple months.

I called in 4 days before my billing cycle. Two employees assured me that they wouldn't charge the full month fee but only $10 fee per membership. On my billing date they deducted full amount of the fee. When I called LA Fitness to inquire they gave me the run around.

I got to speak to the operations manager Connie who kept giving me a line of BS and would not even listen to what I was saying and said that their front desk or any employee would not have given me the wrong information. So in essence implied that I was wrong. They should get rid of this namesake manager Connie as she does not know how to deal with clients. Unbelievable.

I was given a number in US to call. I have left a message at the US head office and yet have to hear from them.

They are all bunch of liars!!! I am disgusted by the employees

Florida is doing the same thing. I take the yoga class and there should be safty lights on but the ability to dim the awful fluorescents to 50%.

La Fitness in Houston, Texas - Rude and ineffective staff, upcharge for "master" trainer

Club at 290 and Hollister, Houston, TX. Hot tub has been down twice for extended periods of time. Working with a personal trainer who is a perfect fit for me and I'm getting stronger and losing weight. He was just promoted to a "master trainer" so my monthly payment went up by $28.00. What's that all about??? Wasn't the contract I originally signed for a certain amount? How can they raise the price when I have a contract? Have seen 2 roaches in the place, one in a bathroom sink in the ladies locker room. Assistant manager, who is downright nasty to clients, plugged the sink but never told the club manager or called for an exterminator. Disgusting amount of hair in the showers and all over the floor. Other trainers that show off in between clients and don't understand that their business is customer service. Still going to that club because it's literally 5 minutes from my house and because I am working so well with my trainer. However, problems are never addressed! Very frustrating!

La Fitness in Hollywood, California - Rude Girl At front Desk/Rude General Manager

I went into gym this morning about 8:40, the girl Stephanie was rude the entire time I was at desk. I asked her name, she waited and replied in a nasty tone for what? then telling me her name she waited until I walked away before she mumbled something like a name. Just completely rude, then the general manager came to talk to me, but instead he talked at me, throwing in little threats along the way. This happened at the L.A. La Fitness - Step instructor insulted myself, my family, and my race

I entered the Class activities room planing on doing the Step workout as I waited for my friend. I enter the room look around briefly to see where to get the equipment. While heading to get the step I did a simple Back stretch and 2 fan kicks to stretch, then the instructor said " if you're not joining the class you need to get out!" this flipped my mood to join. So I apologized and headed to the door. Then she had the nerve to say "Some people don't teach their kids manners anymore*subtle laugh*" the fact that she continued after I apologized.

I saw a very racist 80 years old spinning instructor in LA Fitness Buffalo (Elmwood Ave). I will follow up with a lawsuit against Susan Ferriz Koeppel.

You should do the same against whoever treats you like that

I am following up on my complaint now that it has been 2 months. I have realized it is not LA Fitness who wronged me, it was just a bad employee they hired.

Even after the whole confrontation she continued to try and mess with my account. I had to call LA Fitness to get the account fixed to where I was on the right membership (So I didn't get charged $5 per visit). They still have this woman working for them.

Whenever I visit the gym I just avoid eye contact with her. Women on power trips need a firm *** in their mouth.

La Fitness in Monaca, Pennsylvania - A company that doesn't care

Never join the Settlers Ridge gym. The management is totally nonresponsive to customer complaints and issues with the gym. They will cancel the classes with absolutely no notification. You get up, get ready, drive there, only to find that the management changed the schedule that day, no notification, no change to the schedule posted on line. Two weeks later and the schedule hanging at the front desk and on line still has the wrong classes listed. Do you think they care about the customers? NOT. Now you have wasted your time , energy, and money for gas. The facility is not clean. When you complain, nothing is done about it. Sound like they care? Do yourself a favor: go elsewhere.

There are more factors to a "cancelled" class than management changing the classes. The club managers not change the classes , in fact , the on site club management have nothing to do with the classes or the creating of the schedule.

There are times when an instructor calls in sick and they are unable to secure a sub in time for class. The regional aerobic coordinator and the corporate office are responsible for the physical change of the schedule and both are off site.

Trust me when I say that the front desk employees do not look forward to disappointing members when a class is cancelled last minute.
