Well for starters I called LA Fitness numerous times to speak to someone in regards to getting refund for my personal training session that i did not use and they refused. They said there was no way I would be able to get a refund, but when they are billing you and sucking your money it is no problem them.

When the shoes are on the other feet it is so much harder for you to get your own money back. I also froze the rest of my personal training sessions because i knew that I will not have the time to go and train at the gym due to my hectic schedule. They only allowed me to freeze for four months at the time and i have an additional two months that i can freeze for which makes a total of six months that is allowed. Then once i use up the entire 6 months i will either be forced to buy a buyout to cancel the entire personal training package or be forced to trained at the gym.

I think they should be a little more sympathetic and cut the bull ***. So if you ever think about joining LA Fitness you better think twice and whatever you do do not sign up for personal training unless you want to get screwed and stuck like chuck.

You wonder why so many gyms are coming up with no contracts and better perks for a personal training. They are drawing in consumers and making a ton unlike money grubbing jerks.

this is a total unacceptable practice!

at LA fitness, Most of the time, the people that sell fitness don't know and don't care about what happened next.all they care is to make you a " yes man " just few of Q&A like : do you want to lose weight....do you wana look good?....

and, sell you something they can not deliver themselves.......

here comes the underpaid no/ experience trainer to train....terrible outcome :(

this was the old Bally's failling PT system before and, it resulted in bankrupcy....

personal training is a very delicate job. it requirs education and experience.

but, when you charge the client $60.00 on average per hour and, pay a trainer $15-16 per hour, it sounds like you will not hire anyone with experience or, delication. and you rip off the consumer because the program that you sold can not exist.

I have spoken to ex LA fitness " fitness managers", they could not hold on to trainers and had high turnover due to the pay structure.

i will not work for LA Fitness as long as this is their practice!

WOULD RECOMMEND THAT YOU USE YOUR TRAINING SESSIONS. THEN, MAIL IN THE PERSONAL TRAINING CANCELLATION FORM ONCE YOUR YEAR IS UP.

OTHERWISE THIS MATTER WILL GO ON AND ON. IF YOU CAN, BUY YOUR WAY OUT THAT IS OKAY, BUT THEY MAY MAKE YOU PAY MORE SOMEHOW, SOMEWAY.

IF ALL ELSE FAILS, YOU MAY CONTACT YOUR STATE ATTORNEY GENERAL'S OFFICE AND FILE A CONSUMER COMPLAINT.
