LA Fitness is too corporate to care about your individual needs. I have been a member for over a year.

When I complained about my local gym's cleanliness I was asked to upgrade my membership and pay $160 to work out at a different location rather than address the issues that made my location undesirable. During the Ebola scare in Dallas, the treadmills were covered in dried sweat. In the locker room, no where dry to set anything down. Sex in the sauna, machines broken down way too long.

Trash accumulating on the weight floor. I tried to speak to so many people inside their organization and no one had a solution. Don't be fooled by their promotions. You'll sigh up for roughly $400 a year in monthly dues and hopefully your local gym won't be this dirty.

Oh and you'll pay $5 per visit, so if you go 3 times a week you'll add $45-$60 a month. If LA Fitness wants to have an exclusive gym experience then they should have consistency throughout their facilities. And asking a customer to pay more to remedy an experience that falls way below standards is in insult. Thanks, I'll cancel and pay that $160 to another local gym with adequate facilities and half the monthly membership fees.

All I wanted was to work out in an environment that was free of stress, clean and fully functional. Seems to be the basis of this industry.
