Pre pandemic I loved going to my local LA Fitness. Come March I noticed they opened up another account under my card.

They were billing me upwards of $100 when I didn't have access to use the gym since they were closed. I went to my local LA Fitness June to cancel both accounts and clear up the mistake. Spoke to the general manager and he said he was not sure why there was two accounts open on my name and said he will "take care of it and get me a refund." At this point $300+ was taken from my account those months the gyms were closed, within a week I hadn't heard anything so I followed up. The GM said the accounts still hadn't been closed and thats why I hadn't gotten a refund, I immediately canceled my card on file to avoid another billing cycle.

Keep in mind this was JUNE, I had gone back in August after receiving multiple calls about my account balance. It's now about to be November and they are still trying to bill me and I keep getting calls from the billing department asking to call back and pay the debt.

Poor equipment upkeep

The four Smith machines are poorly maintained for weeks now. They run very rough. Reported by numerous members including me. Nothing done yet to repair

Cancellation of personal training

Sighted up for personal training it has not started and payment has not been processed. Max at Delray Beach location 1660 s federal highway 33483 said unable to cancel have to buy out contract. Once again payment was not processed and contract start date is 9/15/2021

La fitness keeps stealing money from me

I canceled my account months ago and somehow yall keep charging me. I even went in to the gym to cancel after the first time yall did this and watched him cancel my membership. Unacceptable. I need my money back right now!!!

Complain about service

Camera's in the dressing room!!!! Too much disrespected for people trying to be better...kids taking selfies in the dressing room... while others are naked or vulnerable. Too much going on... perhaps you need an attendant or remove the mirror in certain areas. Or pick an area where Camera's are prohibited. I realize my position but a lot of people don't.

User's recommendation: Designated area for cameras where people are not exposed including saunas across from the showers...you can film a complete *** hub... fix this!

Membership

After several attempts to address the filth of the pill and shower areas at the Norristown location in PA on Germantown pike, I asked the health department to do a check-up, still no action to upgrade the standards of pool and shower areas. I canceled my membership. During a time of Covid and the spread of germs, these two areas of the facility are breeding grounds.

Dj so loud in the gym I can't hear myself think

During customer appreciation day the gym decided to bring a DJ in that was loud I couldn't even focus to work out or listen to my own headphones I asked manager to have the music to be turned down maybe halfway to accommodate other members, and I was ignored the request I did tell him I was going to reach out to corporate but no action was taken .... Very unprofessional and I'm thinking about joining another gym I've been a member of la fitness since it's operation in Avon, Indiana very disappointed with la fitness

Health risk trainer

I am 63 years old. My assigned trainer gives me activities that I cannot do. I feel sick and dizzy. She doesn't check my heart rate and ignores my symptoms. She spends about 10 minutes asking me to do weights with squats, which I cannot do without the weights. So she stands around while I try to feel better. Then she instructs me to walk around the weights and read the instructions so I can work out further. She is putting me at risk. My physician does monitoring when I do stress tests. I don't feel like I can express my concerns to Larry, the head trainer, as he exhibits very dismissive behavior. I am concerned for my well being with your trainers. I canceled my membership several months ago and I'm still being charged.

When the annual fee was charged, I thought I was still paying for my sons membership when he had passed away. I called to resolve the issue and cancel my own membership. I was informed that the extra charge was the annual fee and then they canceled my membership. However, I have continued to be charged.
