I joined for physical therapy from my doctor prescription. A new gym is being built 2 miles from me so joined so that I can be healthy.

Have to drive a few miles now and the pool is only warm enough part of the time. The manager always says I am wrong or it is now being fixed. This is on Silver Star in Ocoee florida. I will soon be trying to get my money back.

I will be soon be known as the complainer. How complicated is it to keep a heater in repair and also check the temp every day for clients.

Location: Orlando, Florida

Pools over 80 degrees are really bad for lap swimmers. Bodies can't relate temperature in water, so you increase the risk of heat strokes and other temperature related ailments

Oh my God that is so me I have complained and complained and they look at you like you have six heads when you tell them that the pool is too cold there's no way in *** it's a constant 82 and 83 I'm fixing to ask for my money back. Everyone complains and they still do nothing.

I've contacted corporate numerous times and all they do is say contact the manager or send it to the district manager nobody says a word back to me. Very unprofessional and quite frankly the Ocoee location is filthy

78ยฐF to 82ยฐF is reasonable for about everyone who wants to practice, under healthy standards, exercises in a swimming pool.

The temperature recommended for recreational and competitive sports swimming by the American Red Cross and many swimming coaches is 78ยฐ F.

LA FITNESS is a Gym, not a Hospital or aTherapy Center.

A Gym is a Gym, not a therapy center. Swimmers need 78 degrees water to efficiently workout.

If youโ€™re looking for a perfect pool temperature, not too hot, not too cold, 77 โ€“ 82 degrees (25 โ€“ 28ยฐC) is the way to go. Goldilocks had it right.

The pool in Gambrills is almost always too cold even when the heater is working. In the last year, the heater has been broken at least 3 or 4 times that I know of. Complaining does no good.

Lap pools should be (relatively) cold. It will feel cold when you get in, but as you swim and warm up, you will be thankful for the cold water. The public pools that are kept at high 80's aren't for lap swimming, but for kids and families to relax in.

Sounds like a few LA Fitness managers or staff responded to your complaint. You have every right to complain about the pool temperature, and are not alone.

Many other members and posts on this site mention the pool temps at too cold.

It's usually because LA wants a lower energy costs, or they don't want to invest in a new heater. Cheap.

Of course it was lafitness employees responding there full of *** first of all they don't know anything about lap swimmers we are not professionals where I'm at there's tons of elderly that are in there freezing in the pool as well as myself who is not elderly. I don't understand why they cannot accommodate their paying customers. Turn the Flippin heat up in the pool you ***

I agree, I'm at the LA Fitness location in Bear Glasgow location, have complained an was told contact the Person in charge for our location and they would forward the information to the person. I went back in a week later and the pool was about 50-60 degrees.

Ridiculous thinking about never returning. One lady while we we in the poll said it was like that last winter, smh

I feel the same way, pool is never warm, defiantly not fair to consumers. I suggest the staff get in the pool, daily to see how consumers feel in the pool Cold, LoL
